Aloha and welcome to the Pacific International Training Desk!

Plans are underway to reestablish the training of weather forecasters across the Pacific basin, and we are currently working to finalize our learning objectives and develop the curriculum.  Through UCAR’s COMET/MetEd program, we have a preparation e-learning course already in place to begin the training at home.  We expect to welcome our first cohort for on-site training here in Hawaii in late April.

More information will be posted, of course, as the Pacific Desk re-opens.  Meanwhile, we invite you to learn more about the Desk, its mission and purpose, and details of the training program through the information on this site.  To apply or inquire about potential participation, please contact us through the links above.
