PRiMO

Honolulu, HI March 14-17, 2016. The Pacific Risk Management Ohana (PRiMO) annual conference is a leading venue for emergency, disaster risk reduction, and hazards professionals to share ideas, strategize, and collaborate on solutions that address the varied challenges facing Pacific Island communities working toward resilience goals. The theme of PRiMO 2016, “The Voyage to Resilience: Creating Value through Partnerships,” highlighted the transformations communities are making to prepare for the next natural disaster.

PRiMO 2016 keynote speakers included Former President of Kiribati His Excellency Anote Tong;  Prime Minister of Tuvalu Hon. Enele Sopoaga; Mr. Henk B. Rogers, Founder of the Blue Planet Found and Blue Planet Energy and Hon. Timothy Manning, Deputy Administrato fo FEMA for Protection and National Preparedness.  PRiMO also included distinguished speakers, First Lady of Tuvalu Madame Salilo Enele Sopoaga and Former First Lady of the Republic of Kiribati Madame Meme Bernadette Tong.
